A short note before the legal language:

These terms govern your use of the Studio Sadiq website and the purchase of products from our shop. We've kept them as clear as we can. If anything is unclear, you can email us at hello@studiosadiq.com.

1. About Studio Sadiq

Studio Sadiq is an art platform operated by Florijn Vriend, based in the Netherlands. Throughout these terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Studio Sadiq. By visiting our site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and all applicable laws.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or place an order. By using the site, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Products and Orders

All products are made to order. Each piece is produced individually after you place your order; nothing is held in stock.

We make every effort to display products accurately, but colours and details may vary slightly between devices and screens, and may differ subtly from the final physical print. This variation is part of the nature of printed art.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. If we do so, we will notify you and refund any payment made.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in euros and include applicable VAT where relevant. Prices may change without prior notice but will not affect orders already placed.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. We do not store your card details.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and described in detail in our Shipping Policy.

Risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered to the carrier. Shipping fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

6. Returns and Refunds

All products are made to order and cannot be returned for change of mind. This is consistent with EU consumer law, which exempts custom and personalised goods from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, our Refund Policy sets out the process for claims and replacements.

7. Intellectual Property

All artworks, images, designs, and content on this site are the property of Studio Sadiq, Florijn Vriend, or the estate of Annemieke Blokhorst, and are protected under international copyright laws.

Purchasing a print grants you a personal, non-transferable right to display the work privately. It does not transfer any copyright, reproduction rights, or commercial use rights. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, or use any artwork for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Any unauthorised reproduction, modification, or commercial use of the artworks or content is a breach of these terms and applicable copyright law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the site in a lawful manner. You may not:

Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
Infringe on our or any third party's intellectual property rights
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, accounts, or systems
Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code
Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or replicate site content
Use the site to harass, threaten, or defame others

We reserve the right to suspend access or terminate accounts that breach these conditions.

9. Third-Party Services

Our site uses third-party services to operate, including Shopify (e-commerce platform), Printumo (print fulfilment), and payment processors. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites linked from our site.

10. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information when placing an order, including delivery address. We are not responsible for losses, delays, or additional costs caused by incorrect information you provide.

For orders shipped outside the EU, you are responsible for paying any applicable customs duties, import taxes, and associated fees.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio Sadiq's liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or purchase of products is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or damages arising from delays, carrier issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under applicable EU or Dutch law that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, business, or applicable law. The current version is always published on this page with the revision date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer based in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under applicable consumer protection law.
